Hi,
I am trying to get mythTV going for about the 6th time, I
have just reinstalled fedora 4, done my updates, etc, but
when I do yum ivtv-kmdl-$KVER I get the message:
Parsing package install arguments
No Match for argument: ivtv-kmdl-2.6.14-1.1637_FC4
Nothing to do
That package doesn't exist from the repos that you have selected.
I had the same problem. You either need to build it (as you've tried) or
use packages that are available.
What I did was move back to a kernel where the package was available.
Here's what I did:
* Google for kernel-2.6.13-1.1532_FC4.i686.rpm
* I found it at: http://rpmfind.net But other places have it to.
* go to where you dnl'd the package.
* execute: # yum localinstall kernel-2.6.13-1.1532_FC4.i686.rpm
This will install, along with dependencies if available, as a regular
yum install along with your other kernels.
when you reboot, make sure to select this kernel. You can go into
/boot/grub/grub.conf and make sure it points to the kernel so that when
you reboot you don't have to worry about it.
If you are going thru Jarod's guide, start from the beginning to make
sure you get all the kernel modules.
