I am having the same loss of sound problem as in this thread:

Per that thread, here is the output of 'ivtvctl -d /dev/videoX
--log-status' after sound stopped. I notice that card 0's Audio is
muted. . .

Per another response to that thread, I would like to try the newest SVN
version of the drivers. I just need to know if there are any special
requirements for installing the 0.4.1 version.
