Thanks, apt-get install devscripts took care of that. But even after I
installed the .deb I got I still get the same error message whenever I
try loading ivtv, it always fails to initialize the firmware. I should
mention that an earlier driver (0.3.7a) used to work, but suddenly
stopped working. (After I installed udev and uninstalled it and
reinstalled hotplug, and after I installed xorg, I don't know if
there's a connection.) I guess I should just reinstall and get it over
with, though there'll be a lot of work setting everything up the way I
want it. Does anyone have a guess as to why the firmware won't load?
