Hi Ron,

I had a simmilar problem running 2.6.14 and 0.4.1. Things would be fine
for a day or two and then the machine would lock up.

During the re-boots fsck would find a couple of filesystem errors. For
some reason fsck was failing at boot time.

To fix things right I had to boot to single user mode, unmount the
filesystems and fsck. The lockup problems went away after doing this.

Later on, I noticed on the myth.org web site that they reccomend xfs or
jfs for better performance with gigantic files. I reformatted my media
drive to xfs. This has helped with the audio sync problems that I was
having. It's also nice because very large files delete instantly.
