I collected logs under Hans' expert direction; it was not that hard to do but someone on the dev team who can interpret the results would need to give directions on what logs to collect. Basically, I was in the same position as you; willing to help out in whatever way... You could try reposting on the dev list. Maybe it would be instructive to have another set of logs and then compare the two...
Overall it sounds like some people are having problems and other not having problems which makes me wonder if there are other differences in the cards or in the configuration. The logs I collected were on us-bcast and NTSC standards, I don't know if that would make a difference.
Ironically, I'm still using 0.4.0 because of the initial bug where the upper frequencies were off; I've not had time to upgrade my install with the latest greatest, but, the only thing I am missing is FOX which is not a great loss.

Yup, as I mentioned before, also count me in as far as obtaining some logs under Windows. I know it is possible (and that's how we have the initial Samsung tuner support), but I don't know how.
