I'm having a strange problem with ivtv and a PVR250 card. After a
fresh boot I can launch mplayer
$> mplayer /dev/video0

Mplayer works fine, and while it plays channel 4 I can see the
following status line continuously incrimenting
   A: 812.2 V: 812.2 A-V:  0.017 ct: 69.041 24319/24319 21%  3%  3.8%
22913 0

If I then use ivtv-tune to change the channel
$> ivtv-tune -c50
<reply>
   /dev/video0: 379.250 MHz

Video stops, and the counters stop incrimenting.

Executing
$> ivtvctrl -p1
$> ivtvctrl -p4
fixes the problem. -p1 restores the counter and a black screen, p4
restores the tuner.
