They are basically the same thing.  I've never had MCE, but have  
tested my PVR card in XP Pro.

Thats news to me.  The CD should have an install program that  
installs drivers and a player app.  Looking on the web site. I don't  
see that stuff in the PVR500 section, but you might try the installs  
on the PVR150 page.
