Thanks for the response. Maybe I am using the wrong terminology. I don't see any video, not static. All I see is what you would see if you tune your TV to a non-existent channel.
 
On the tveeprom not loaded, should I just do a modprobe tveeprom? I yum-ed ivtv, ivtv-firmware and ivtv-kmdl, I trust tveeprom is part of that bundle?
