Unfortunately, nothing helps some of us. I've got a PVR-500 (D492 with a Philips MK4 tuner) and although its perfect with the tuner input, the line in is tinny (directv D11 tuner fed into svideo and audio line in). Its been tinny through the 0.6.x series and 0.7.x with any firmware, including the newest. What I've done is add a fix script to my channel change script : #!/bin/sh sleep 5 ivtvctl --device=/dev/video1 -c stream_type=10 So, 5 secs of tinny audio on every recording, then it fixes itself.
