I think I'm experiencing the same problem. It locks up pretty much every
time with kernel 2.6.17.6 and ivtv 0.7.0.

Using the magic sysrq to change the loglevel, I've captured the following
bit of output:

At this point everything just hangs. Even with sysrq I cannot get the
system to respond.

Any ideas on what this means?
