It's not misdetected. You DO have a PVR-250. The 150 has completely 
differect supporting chips. There is no mistake possible.

The firmware loading errors are actually a bug in the hotplug scripts 
(if I remember correctly) and can be ignored.

Can you give the output of ivtvctl --log-status? Perhaps that might give 
me a clue. The tuner is programmed correctly (I checked against the 
datasheet).
