HiI recently installed ivtv from ATrpms, first ivtv-firmware, ivtv-firmware-audio and then ivtv-kmdl-2.6.17-1.2187_FC5smp. (Fedora Core 5)
I am not using fedora but at least for me I have to install the kernel first as installing a new kernel leaves ivtv installed in the old kernel only. Can you post the output of
dmesg | grep ivtv -C 10
or if that does not work well everything in dmesg from ==================== START INIT IVTV ==================== to
==================== END INIT IVTV ====================
