Rudy-

Odd, as when I switched firmware to the recomended versions I did power off the
box for a half hour or so.

Anyway, I unloaded and reloaded the modules - this time without the debug
parameter - and it worked fine. I still dunno why I got the errors loading the
driver on boot, but that can wait for another day if no one has any ideas.

Thanks all!

Dave

Actually, yes. One of the aspects of any PVR-xxx card, is that is has an

almost too good memory. When you have problems with a PVR-xxx card, and

you change kernel/ivtv driver version in attempt to solve those

problems, it is very good to give the card a regular full power down. As

in remove power from system for 1 minute, and then reboot.

When you change HDD, this is exactly what you are doing.

It is well possible to seriously confuse a PVR-xxx (and especially a 250

or 350) to the point that a normal reset will have no result. Only a

cold boot (after letting the system "cool down") will help in such a

case.....

Cheers,

Rudy
