Which howto are you using as this is not needed anymore for your kernel and ivtv version. See [1] for an up to date howto. Replacing modules only applies to the old 0.4.X series of ivtv. Back then ivtv used modified version of a couple of already in kernel modules. These in kernel modules had to be removed first before you could use ivtv. In the ivtv version 0.6 (kernel 2.6.16), 0.7 (2.6.17) and 0.8 (2.6.18) the modifications where merged back to the mainline kernel and with the upcomming kernel 2.6.22 also ivtv will be in mainline. Greets Sander [1] http://ivtvdriver.org/index.php/Howto Hmmm. What's involved in replacing what I've now deleted? I am very green to Linux. Do I have to rebuild the kernel to get msp3400 back now? I suspect that a distro reinstallation from scratch isn't necessary?
