Assuming you were listening for sound coming directly from the PVR-350 (not your audio card), this means that your problems have nothing to do with osd_compat, so you've likely done that correct. > When I go back into MythTV setup and deselect 'User > PVR350 Out' then I am able to get a picture with sound, but since > it is > only a 1.2 Ghz machine it is a bit choppy at times. As others have said, this shouldn't be choppy - my dual 500mhz can handle this fine? > I also looked at the Xorg.log, messages, and the mythfrontend and > mythbackend logs. None have anything that's noteworthy. mythfrontend will give you the most information. You might want to run it with the -debug all option or something similar. Question: can you run `dd if=/dev/video0 of=/dev/video16` with the same user account as the one that runs myth? Do you hear sound or see video? BTW: The MPEG decoder and framebuffer can draw things to the screen simultaneously. That's the whole point of the framebuffer. - Rick _______________________________________________ ivtv-users mailing list [email protected] http://ivtvdriver.org/mailman/listinfo/ivtv-users
