I am using ivtv 0.10.1 in Linux kubuntu 2.6.20-16-generic with an AMD 64-bit
processor. My video capture card is a Hauppage PVR-150. Currently the tuner
is set to us-cable. The frequencies for the channels (ivtv-tune -l) are all
0.750 mHz below the proper frequency. For example, ch. 10 is listed as
193.250, but the channel is properly tuned when I use ivtv-tune -f 194. Using
ivtv-tune -c 10 gives a black-and-white image.

Rather than having to enter the frequency for each channel, I was hoping that a
different frequency table (us-cable-hrc or us-cable-irc) would contain the
proper frequencies. Unfortunately, I don't know how to change the tuner to a
different frequency table. If I enter "ivtv-tune --freqtable=us-cable-hrc" (or
-tus-cable-hrc or -t us-cable-hrc), the app doesn't recognize the arguments and
returns the help info.

I don't remember how I managed to set the card to us-cable in the first place.
I hope that someone can tell me what the string values in "--freqtable=STRING"
for us-cable-hrc and us-cable-irc are. Or, if there is an easier way to change
frequency tables. I would also like to know what us-cable-hrc and us-cable-irc
are and how they differ from each other and from us-cable. There is no mention
of any of this in the documentation, the howto, or the faq.

I am not using MythTV. I currently use VLC to view video from the tuner.

Thank you for your help.
