I have installed a Avermedia PVR150 Plus in Puppy Linux 2.14 (M116?) Every thing works except sound in composite in and Svideo. I have sound from the tuner and can tune OK
I saw this message http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/ivtv/devel/36205 Which is basically the same problem in the same card. Instead of compiling the patched ivtv driver I just tried doing modprobe wm8739, in the off chance that would fix it. That showed the wm8739 loading in dmesg, but still no sound I have tried changing the volume, the audio inputs and outputs and mute on and off. still silence when playing in mplayer and playing a captured file too. Via the tuner works OK. I am in the us using NTSC.
