Thanks. I noticed the following sentence: "Since fixing the cx25840 setup is quite difficult due to the bad Conexant datasheet and the workaround is simple I will not fix this for the time being." Although this is more of a developers' question, isn't the reference design kit made by Connexant? It's unfortunate if the ivtv developers don't have one, since vendors practically give them away to sell their chips. This should provide not only full specs, but also tech support from Connexant.
