Anyone know why I get a kernel oops when I load ivtv-fb?

I'm running Fedora Core3 and it's a fresh install. I was running Core1
with MythTV for many months without any problems. But for some reason
I decided to do a dist-upgrade and something broke. Thinking it would
be a good time to switch to Core3, I did a reinstall following
Jarrod's guide.

But now I get a kernel oops whenever I load the ivtv-fb module. The
ivtv module works file, and I can display the test pattern without a
problem. I tried all the different versions of ivtv and they all oops
on me.

The archives and google didn't turn up anything.

Please help. My wife is going through MythTV withdrawl. If I don't get
an answer soon, I'll probably just go back to Core1. (if only I made
that Mondo backup like I was planning to do)

TIA
