Point taken.
Using ivy to download its own dependencies might be an elegant way - if
(and only if) it is documented very clearly.


I agree, good documentation is mandatory in this case, as well as a very
easy process.

How about doing it the same way the spring-framework does? See:

They distribute two binaries,
-one binary with-dependencies (large and easy)
-one binary without dependencies


Why not, but I agree with Matthias that we should promote the distrib
without dependencies. And if the dependencies downloading is made very easy
(which is quite simple with Ivy), should we still deliver a bundle with all
dependencies?
