del CERN. Es importante que tengáis en cuenta que el CERN no contrata
candidatos sobrecualificados. Es decir, que lo que buscan es una persona
que pueda hacer el trabajo de secretaria/o. Si tiene experiencia en
bibliotecas mejor que mejor, pero no un/a bibliotecario/a (con
titulación universitaria) que pueda hacer trabajo de secretaria/o.
Os lo comento más que nada para que no perdáis el tiempo, ya que las
candidaturas se filtran. También es bastante importante que hable inglés
y francés.

Dear Colleagues,
the CERN library is seeking an administrative assistant. The selected
candidate will provide administrative support to the Group and the
Scientific Information Service's specific activities and events and in
particular will:
• Prepare and publish documents and correspondence in both French
and English;
• Prepare, organize and attend internal meetings and draft minutes;
• Arrange official travel and calculate related reimbursements;
• Follow up budget issues and arrange payment of invoices;
• Record absences for the Group;
• Act as the group's main interface with the Department's
Administrative Officer;
• Manage the CERN Bookshop account;
• Manage financial aspects for the book acquisitions;
• Organize special events such as Library science talks (6 per
year), workshops and conferences with a large number of participants,
book-fairs, "Literature in focus" OAI7 conferences and Open Access meetings;
• Assist in the organization of the annual Book-fair;
• Provide administrative assistance to the CERN Reports Editorial
Board (CREB);
• Participate in organizing the apprentices program: recruitment
and training;
• Assist with drafting reports to the European Commission.

CERN offers a limited-duration contract for a period of five years.
Limited-duration contracts shall terminate by default on their date of
expiry. Subject to certain conditions, holders of limited-duration
contracts may be granted an indefinite contract.
