There are several changes to the id/idref in XML Schema 1.1:
- Certain constraints involving ID are extended to include lists of ID and
unions including ID
- An element may now contain multiple attributes of type xs:ID
- Elements and attributes of type xs:ID may now have default or fixed values
- The validation rules for values of type xs:IDREF, xs:ENTITY and xs:ENTITIES
are now enforced on default values
