Mark A. Ziesemer commented on XERCESJ-1454:
-------------------------------------------
I think the aspect that is the most difficult for me to comprehend in this is
that both Maven and Xerces are Apache projects. I would think if anyone should
be embracing the benefits of Maven, it would be the sibling Apache projects.
If someone volunteered to pilot the effort of Maven-enabling the Xerces2-J
project - to include the release process (as documented in the above link), and
upload to the central repository - would this be something that would be
seriously considered and accepted if it didn't add any other issues to the
process?

> IBiblio's Maven repository at http://www.ibiblio.org/maven/xerces/jars/ has
> 2.9.1 but not 2.10.0 yet.
> http://repo1.maven.org/maven2/xerces/xercesImpl/ has only 2.9.1 as well.
> http://repo2.maven.org/maven2/xerces/xercesImpl/ has only 2.9.1 as well
> Also it would be nice to do it by default for next releses (but not
> automated).
