While development with XercesJ, I had earlier contributed lot many unit
tests for XML Schema 1.1. They are located at,
xerces/java/branches/xs-1.1-tests. Although these are useful, I now feel
they're a burden on XercesJ's development process, and not many people look
at these tests seriously. I suggest we only be concerned with the W3C XML
Schema 1.1 test suite, when making any changes to XercesJ's XML Schema 1.1
source code.
I therefore suggest, to deprecate these unit tests (i.e they won't be
maintained in future, and in worst-case be removed from XercesJ's
repository). We can mention this fact in the file readme.txt perhaps within
xs-1.1-tests. We can keep this folder and its files at the same location,
but they won't be looked at officially by XercesJ project.
Does anyone have objections to this idea?
