I remember having private discussion with our PMC chair (Michael
Glavassevich) lot of time ago, about integrating IBM's XPath 2.0 processor
(I think, it's part of WAS XML feature pack) with Xerces's XSD 1.1
processor.
I think its a good idea (we'll get enterprise quality for an XPath 2.0
processor). We can support our current PsychoPath XPath 2.0 processor, as
well also IBM's XPath 2.0 processor in our XSD 1.1 engine. We can select
one of these at runtime, via a feature in Xerces XSD 1.1.
My personal opinion is, if we decide to support IBM's XPath 2.0 processor,
we can ship it in a release post the 2.12.0 release.
Any thoughts?
