I am including a position description for a Linux Engineer. The position is located in NYC. There are many technologies listed as required but I do not expect to find someone with them all. If you have any consultants on billing that might be a fit for this position – please let me know. I will work out rate with any qualified candidates. Also, 8-10 years’ experience is preferred but again, anyone that comes close is acceptable.

Exposure included but not limited to supporting projects for trading applications infrastructure, high availability environment, clustering, SDLC and disaster recovery planning. Familiarity with Front Office technology stack and with lines of business (Equities, Fixed Income and Derivatives) is preferred. Must display the ability to provide clear, precise and timely communication. Able to manage users expectations and work autonomously. Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment running multiple projects simultaneously, must be capable of managing uncertainty and change in a less defined environment.
