Job Request for   Senior SAS Data Integration Architect/Developer to be the
technical lead on implementing a SAS Data Management Solution.  Senior SAS
DI Developer will be responsible for Enterprise Data Warehouse and mapping
data from multiple sources (including MS-SQL Server, flat files, Excel),
building and implementing the data flows and loading the data into a SAS
Analytical/Reporting Data Mart.  The consultant will be required to
design/develop the data model for the SAS Analytical/Reporting Data mart
for optimal efficiencies.  The candidate will have demonstrated experience
in using DI Studio, MS-SQL Server, SAS Metadata Administration and good
communication skills providing updates to the Data Warehousing team.



Required Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Job Description:

The Senior SAS Data Integration Architect/Developer to the technical lead
in architecting, designing and implementing the SAS Data Management
Solution.

Senior SAS DI Developer will be responsible for Enterprise Data Warehouse
and mapping data from multiple sources (including MS-SQL Server, flat
files, Excel), building and implementing the data flows and loading the
data into a SAS Analytical/Reporting data mart.  The consultant will be
required to design/develop the data model for the SAS Analytical/Reporting
Data mart for optimal efficiencies.  The candidate will have demonstrated
experience in using DI Studio or Data Management Studio, MS-SQL Server, SAS
Metadata Administration and good communication skills providing updates to
the Data Warehousing team.



This position will be responsible for 1) gathering data requirements and
designing/developing the Data Warehouse/ Data Marts and 2) performing
analytical and programming activities including analysis, design,
development, testing, implementation, and documentation of integrating the
data management solutions, 3) functioning as subject matter expert for
using SAS Data Management Solution (Data Integration Studio or Data
Management Studio).

Successful candidates will possess: 1) experience in designing and
developing Data Warehouses and using SAS Data Management Solution tools, 2)
strong understanding of standard development methodology (Systems
Development Life-cycle) for both implementation and maintenance projects,
3) thorough understanding of and experience in structured programming
methodology, 4) skill in gathering and documenting user requirements and
writing technical specifications, 5) proven customer relationship skills,
6) strong SAS 9.4 DI tools, SQL and MS-SQL Server knowledge.



Skill sets: .  The Client requires a Senior SAS DI consultant..  Essential
duties and responsibilities include the following, with hands-on, proven
experience with SAS programming to maintain and develop advanced SAS coding
techniques to write maximum efficient and performance optimized code.
Services may include focus on and require the Consultant to: 1. SAS DI
Studio and/or Data Management Studio experience a must.  Experience in Data
Integration/Management Studio, developing sophisticated data flows. 2. 6
years or more of SAS Data Warehousing implementation experience and
experience developing technical solutions with SAS Data Integration and
reporting tools in a SAS environment.

3. Data Modeling and Data Architecting expertise is required.

4. Proven skill in gathering and documenting user requirements and writing
technical specifications and design documents.

5. Integrating and managing the data mappings from the client’s data
sources (mainly MS-SQL Server) to the SAS Data Warehouse using SAS Data
Management Solution.  Designing, developing and implementing the DI Studio
job flows to load the data into SAS.

6. Be proficient in Base SAS programming (DATA step), SQL programming
(i.e., use of SQL pass-through or PROC SQL), as well as the SAS Macro
language, ODS, Reporting and Summary procedures and SAS Array processing
for use in making code more efficient.

7. MS-SQL Server DBMS experience.

8. Must have project experience with implementing advanced SAS coding
techniques to optimize performance and have developed best practices for
efficient coding due to constraints of hardware storage and memory.

9. Ability to develop new data loads to existing data warehouse. 10.
Creating Stored Processes to provide the users of the Reporting Data Mart
easy access to the data.  11. Have good oral and written communication
skills. 12. Lead and/or actively participate in SAS knowledge-sharing
activities.  13. Must be able to read, and understand existing coding and
processing to troubleshoot and resolved issues as they arise. Demonstrate
the ability to work with little direct supervision; Excellent
troubleshooting skills; Imaginative, inquisitive, with a self-motivating
personality and a strong work ethic; Customer focused demeanor.
