Thats more or less the same I use but I use the perl jabberAlert.
But for each message doing a login send and logout, is bad idea because
I'm monitoring some services and programs, and I got some performance
issues, when the messages start to grow.
So I was thinking in make a C sm/mod_internal_announce that starts and
stops with jabberd.

i think it could help.
I use it to send several MOTDs to all my users. Thats cuz not everyday
i send the same MOTDs and those tend to change programatically also.
I found that script somewhere else and i cant remember if thats the
original.
You should google for jabber bash scripts theres a lot out there.

Hi there,
How can I send announces, without using a client, to all online
clients, from the server.
I would like something like everything I send to 127.0.0.1:5221
<http://127.0.0.1:5221> will be send like it was a client.
Rigth now I have a client that do login in jabberd and relay
everything from port 5221 to 5222. And i use this to send message
to all user like "Storage Server will be down in 5 minutes."

<body>Storage Server will be down in 5 minutes.</body>
</message>
Can I integrate this in jabbers to do the relay without use a
client, this only be available for message from 127.0.0.1.
