Dear Kolja,

I have read the page you suggested (note that the link to the
"SourceForge Subversion documentation" does not work).
I have installed Tortoise SVN and I checked out the jabref project
using the URL https://jabref.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/jabref (maybe
is not necessary to download the entire project (about 500 MB). Why do
not specify the "minimum" URL to use? That one with "trunk" at the
end? or with "trunk/jabref"?).

I have installed the last version of Java SDK6 and Apache Ant.
Finally I have installed Popeye.
Everything works fine.

I have found the files JabRef_it.properties, Menu_it.properties and
IntegrityMessage_it.properties in trunk\jabref\src\resource as
explained in the guide. Now I can make some experiments.

Just a question: is this the simplest method to update or add a new
translation? Is it really necessary to compile JabRef in order to
check how an updated translation looks like?

Now I will try to compile JabRef from source without any change.

Thanks!
Ciao ciao.
Fra
