Dear JabRef users, I would like to discuss some points about JabRef citation imports. Currently I am using JabRef 2.7b2.
1. Running only one instance of JabRef not always works. Sometimes, opening a new bib or other types of files, starts a new instance. Have you ever noticed this behavior? 2. When I save a bib file from internet, most of the times, it is a citation downloaded from a scientific journal. I have set my browser so that, at the end of the download, it automatically opens bib and ris files. In the case of bib file, why don't you add a popup saying: "import on the current selected database" or "open as a new database"? 3. In the case of ris files, JabRef has several problems. After importing a ris file, it shows several (20 or more) entries (!!!) instead of just one as expected. In version 2.6 it was all OK. (An example: http://pubs.rsc.org/en/Content/ArticleLanding/2011/CE/c0ce00631a and another example: http://apl.aip.org/resource/1/applab/v98/i18/p181905_s1?isAuthorized=no where EndNote Generic works but EndNote RIS shows 33 entries!) Can you reproduce this problem? Thank you! Ciao ciao. Fra ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ vRanger cuts backup time in half-while increasing security.
