Hi again, I've located the problem. Under Windows 7, these menu items are non-opaque by default, while on Linux (and perhaps Win XP) they are opaque. So, we need to explicitly make them opaque for the color to show. I'm fixing this for the next version, and it will also be included if we release a bugfix update to version 2.7.
