1.) If I enter an unpublished manuscript into the database table, then acquire a published version, can I change the document type from 'unpublished' to 'article' and provide the additional information? If so, how do I do this since I don't see a menu item that looks appropriate.
2.) Is there a way to configure jabref to use the keyboard shortcuts when entering/editing text? I'm used to using emacs and have my other editors (joe and lyx) configured to use the same key controls; e.g., ctrl-d to delete the character following the point, ctrl-a and ctrl-e to move to the begining and end, respectively, of the line. Having to use the arrow and del keys, and the pointy device, to move around the text is not as convenient as using ctrl and alt key shortcuts. I don't know java but my C and Python code is written to use these shortcuts in text fields.
