cool, but it seems that there are some concerns about the patch
and maybe Jackrabbit is "forcing" something which shouldn't actually be
done.

for my line of argumentation. For me, the relevant spec for this
is clearly the DOM Level 2 spec and not the XPATH spec because
it's a DOMResult. Other opinions and reasonings are welcome ...
