Hi
In many Content Management cases one has an authoring server within the intranet
and a live server within the DMZ, whereas only ssh/scp is allowed between these
two machines.
Has anyone developed something like "rsync" for Jackrabbit? Or what other solutions
might make sense?
Maybe as a side note: If a document is being published within Lenya then it is being copied into a live area resp. pending directory which also resides on the "authoring machine". A cronjob is then mirroring/syncronising this onto the "live machine".
This has the advantage, that the author doesn't notice if there is a network problem
between intranet and DMZ or if machines or releases are being exchanged. It also allows adding more than one server on a very simple basis.
Thanks
Michi
