The second Release Candidate for 2.8.0 -- 2.8.0.rc2 -- is now mostly out (with JAX-RS provider being deployed, and Scala to follow). I have tried to update release notes:
https://github.com/FasterXML/jackson/wiki/Jackson-Release-2.8 to reflect learnings. Things done since rc1: * Found and fixed a few issues regarding DropWizard that prevented things from working (fail during startup) - Dropwizard 1.0.0-rc3 seems to work, but there are couple of unit tests that fail due to changes in exception messages (I think) * Jackson-jr now supports use of public fields, to help Android users that may run into method number limitations (that is, being able to avoid getters/setters can be helpful) * a few misc bug fixes, esp. for OBject Id forward reference handling fixed My expectation now is that there will be no more release candidates, and that 2.8.0 will be released by end of June 2016. To make that happen it would be great to get some feedback from developers, either confirming that things appear to work; or to report regressions, as the case may be. -+ Tatu +- -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "jackson-dev" group.
