Ok, one of weaker areas of Jackson has been and is documentation. To this end I am hoping to at least maintain base level of existing documentation, mostly contained within Wiki pages of Jackson git repos (like various features under `jackson-databind`). So, I will try to create issues at:
https://github.com/FasterXML/jackson-docs/issues/8 and work on at least some of them. But I could definitely use help; even if something as simple as proof-reading and double-checking. Or, filing specific issues: by specific I mean something limited in scope like "Description of `DeserializationFeature.XXX` claims it does not apply to Maps; this is incorrect" or "Javadocs for `BeanProperty` are not mentioning that...". And what I do not want to see is "explain in detail how Jackson creators work" or such (although I would very much like someone write in-depth docs like that, obviously) -- this just because issue tracker works best for tracking specific concerns, and not overall things or larger pieces of work. Also, somewhat related: as I have mentioned earlier, I have started collecting some of Jackson 3.x ideas at: https://github.com/FasterXML/jackson-future-ideas/wiki but will focus on those once 2.9 is safely out (*). -+ Tatu +- (*) ... which has been delayed from earlier Jan/2017, and at earliest will be late-April/2017, depending on progress with various issues -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "jackson-dev" group.
