I have heard of developers sometimes wanting to see if there are good "started" OSS projects or functionality, I figured I should point out one thing that could be quite easy to support. There is already an issue requesting support for Javatuples (https://www.javatuples.org/), and that seems doable. But although I could eventually help there, I think this could be kind of nice starter project, where developer who has spent at least some time reading through Jackson sources should be able to make good progress:
https://github.com/FasterXML/jackson-databind/issues/2020 Now, based on past experience, I don't expect a torrent of follow-up here but... well, it'd be great if someone found an itch they didn't realize they had. :) Also, in related note: this is not the only RFE for new datatypes; and in fact I hope to get many more in future (plus implementations of course). If anyone has suggestions for how to approach this, how to get more community involvement; how to maybe organize efforts, collaborate... I would be interested. I feel like this is one way we could really expand Jackson community. I know it is not very easy to get involved with feature development or fixes for core components. But extension modules should offer much easier starting points. -+ Tatu +- -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "jackson-dev" group.
