So, as per my earlier email, I am planning on experimenting with a new way of implementing bigger changes, aimed (at this point) on Jackson 3.0: JSTEPs. Concept is simply something akin to RFCs, or Kafka's KIPs: documenting implementation/change idea to some degree before proceeding with actual implementation.
Wiki page that has links is: https://github.com/FasterXML/jackson-future-ideas/wiki/JSTEP and right now I have stubs for 4 JSTEPs. I start with Issues, but actual design should be one or more Wiki pages (or, if we figure out better medium, similar documentation page -- I wonder if we could expose FasterXML google docs?) Once I get to actually writing JSTEP contents I hope to engage developer community more: ideally getting many more eyes to review design ideas, plans, and offering feedback when it has most impact... before actual implementation. :) -+ Tatu +- -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "jackson-dev" group.
