Two quick notes. First: I spent some time to write a summary of 2.10 changes; results being here:
https://medium.com/@cowtowncoder/jackson-2-10-features-cd880674d8a2 I hope you will find that useful. I hope to find time & energy to write follow ups about PolymorphicTypeValidator usage; JsonNode (tree model) improvements and Jackson-jr custom value readers/writers. Also open to suggestions for better Blogging platform to use. Second: although Sonatype helped get `jackson-annotations` package completely in their Nexus repo, it appears that somehow it ended up with mismatching checksums. This is... not good. I will try to get this resolved, but at this point I am quite frustrated having spent days trying to resolve this and no doubt ending up spending much more to answer questions from frustrated users. One thing you can do to help is to (a) NOT send reports to jackson mailing lists (or me personally) but if you want, (b) follow up on https://issues.sonatype.org/browse/OSSRH-51881 (or file separate Jira issue). I will probably have to release 2.10.1 sooner than anticipated due to this, as well as due to Maven tooling's handling of `pr` qualifier. I do not look forward to spending another full work day's worth of time but that's what it will be. I hope you keep amount of effort in mind when requesting releases: a full minor/patch release is 4-8 hours of uncompensated and somewhat thankless work (and lately 8+ hours). This is not a complaint about developer or user base: you are wonderful. But the mechanical work to support Jackson itself is not super rewarding, even when it is useful for larger community. I will investigate if there is something that could help with it. -+ Tatu +- ps. After working on documentation, I will at some point write more about Tidelift subscriptions as one mechanism to help support future Jackson development work. Until then feel free to have a look at what is behind those "Sponsor" and "Tidelift" badges, if interested. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "jackson-dev" group.
