Hi, we just got some AMD Ryzen 5 box. Time to test Jailhouse on some recent AMD hardware.
It's equipped with a Gigabyte Aorus M mainboard (B450 chipset). We chose it as it appears to have a COM port connector on the mainboard, but it's crappy. While sending works, receiving doesn't work at all and sometimes leads to interrupt storms. I don't trust it. If I would by a PCIe RS232 card, are there any technical constraints besides 8250/16550 compatibility? I think this card [1] should work, right? Thanks Ralf [1] https://www.amazon.de/dp/B00GT65XME/ref=psdc_1626220031_t1_B0037ECAOA This card has a CH382 chipset, which is compatible to 8250, according to drivers/tty/serial/8250/8250_pci.c . -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Jailhouse" group.
