I'd really like that as I have noticed that I have much less messages that
when Cactus was hosted on SourceForge : I had an average of 1 message per
day, whereas now I get one every 4 days. It is strange as I have more
downloads than before and more pages viewed on the web site.
The explanation that I can give is that end users are confused by
jakarta-commons (I remember that I was also confused a bit when I started)
and especially by the mailing list where lots of information not pertaining
to Cactus are sent. I can imagine the typical cactus users subscribing to
the list in order to get help and view what others have to say and receiving
20 mails per day on subjects like CJAN, JJAR, ... You can bet he will
unsubscribe very quickly and not use it again .... :(
So, yes, I'd very much like to have a dedicated cactus-user list (I don't
need a cactus-dev list for the moment I think). What are the chances to get
such a list quickly ? How to proceed further in that direction, do I ask for
a vote ?
Thanks
Vincent.
