Hi all, I've committed the serial_software library + a little "echo" sample using 16f88. If you wanna give a try... I've simplified the way the init is done, as it was already discussed: now users just have to set the rx/tx pins, set directions, and that's it ! (instead of defining the pins, the port, the pin number within the port, ...).
It works nice, I've used it @ 8MHz (int osc) and 2400 bds. 19200 gives too much errors. We may need to provide a complete table (graph ?) showing f(baudrate,osc) = errors.
