I'm afraid the amount of arguments pro and con was probably a bit too 
much for me to remember which of these were decided and which not.
Maybe better to make a summary and about decision points and if possible 
who voted pro or con.

The changes in the script are relatively simple and the impact limited. 
Many PICs passed the blink-test even though their device files were 
missing the disable_comparator() procedure. Only for some PICs it makes 
a difference: namely in the case that an active comparator forces one or 
more pins (pin_A0) in input mode. Examples of these (tested by me): 
12F510 and 16F506.

Issue 33 was applicable to baseline PICs only, also with minimal inpact.

I have tested both, and did some regression tests, even on PICs which 
are not supposed to be involved at all.

So I think I'll commit the changes later tonight or tomorrow.
