Hi,

I wanted to make a set of simple boards for test purposes, in principle
one for each footprint (number of pins, only DIP-packages). So I'll need
at least 7 boards, one for each footprint (4, 14, 16, 18, 20, 28 and 40
pins). I have aleady 3 boards ready (40,28 and 20 pins), the others will
follow soon. On each board there will be one or more LEDs, an ISCP
connection (Wisp648 style) and if PIC size permits also a connector for
an LCD and some free space for other I/O.
I have also mounted a PIC in TQFP format on one of Wouters 'conversion'
boards (PCB-09), which he donated to me for Jallib use. Thanks Wouter!
And I could do the same for other PICs with TQFP format too.... so also
a 64-pins board.

Most PICs with the same number of pins are interchangeable as far as the
positions of pins for power, /MCLR and ICSP are concerned, there are
some exceptions (maybe I'll make another PIC-group list). So initially
I thought I needed as many board-files as I have boards. But no, I need
a board file for each individual PIC because of differences between PICs
(such as pin-register relationship, support for LVP, etc, etc.). So
'board' file is not really the right word....

Is it useful to add the test-boards (layout or picture) and the board
files to Jallib? I doubt it, because to whom would these be useful?
Would anyone want to build my boards and repeat my tests?

Regards, Rob.
