looks like it needs SPI. There is an SPI library. What is the benifit of RFM12 or 22?
I have used TWS-434A / RWS-434 modules for one way communication. I think there is a model for 2 way. They will take any digital input (up to 10khz), so you could just input serial at 9600 baud. Jallist might get you some answers as well.
