I had a problem with both trace leakage on one keyboard and
capacitance on another.

One was fixed by washing with alcohol and pressing all keys hard
The other by moving the wires.

I proved it was HW by changing the order of the scanning and the
problem moved.

I have used from 4MHz on 16F628 to 48Mhz 18F4550

Do you think the addition of delays is not necessary?
This is my first experience with a keyboard. I have only a simple small circuit board. I don't see a possibility to even simplify it or make it smaller.

One of the goals of Jallib is to provide reliably working libraries.
When the addition of a short delay to the library helped me I think it will save time for problem solving with others. There are other Jallib libraries (like for LCD) which use longer delays than absolutely necessary to allow the use LCD screens which are (somewhat) below standard.

Regards, Rob.
