Hi Matt, Let me be clear, I am not advocating plagiarism. Not at all. But while I admire your work ethic, I think you're missing out on the wonderful education that comes from studying other people's code. You can learn good techniques, and also you'll run across bad examples to avoid. :-)
In fact there are books, papers, and articles on the topic of 'design patterns'.
