Hey all! It's bin a while since I've bin here, that's mainly due to college! This year we're learning all about PIC microcontrollers, and so we had to buy a small board with a pic 18F2553 on it. It contains the microchip bootloader so that programming becomes an easy task.
We're programming in C and ASM, but both languages are too low level for me to implement something with usb 'quickly' (that's for another project that's less microcontroller orientated, but it gives a nice extra touch to it). So I'm trying to put an 18F4550_usb_serial example on this device (adjusted it to the settings I need for this particular microcontroller), but it doesn't work :) Since I don't get it working I'm posting this problem here: In JALedit I've configured these parameters: * Use the 18 series bootloader preamble: 2048 (that's 0x800 in hex) * Do not put fuses into assembly or hex The interrupt handles should be at 0x808 and 0x818, I have no idea where to put that, but since this example doesn't use interrupts that shouldn't matter. So the program is on the PIC, the com port displays in windows, I can install the driver and it seems to work. Only the terminal displays nothing! I've added some status leds to see where he's stuck, and it seems it won't even get past usb_cdc_line_status() != 0x00 (so the function always returns 0). Could anyone help me with this? Thanks in advance! Toon -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "jallib" group. To post to this group, send email to [email protected].
