Ok found out what's wrong. I was just checking the .out file which is
actually getting updated on each compile.
But when the show log file option after compile is enabled, since the file
is already open, jaledit does not detect the changed file to reopen the new
file. Since I never use the open log file option I never noticed.

BTW why do you need the show log file option ?
