So there are already several exceptions to the 4 MHz default. This means OSCCON_IRCF must be specified, at least for the exception PICs. I think I'll specify a bit pattern which is correct for many PICs and add a disclaimer that when the led doesn't blink 2 times per second a different pattern could be specified (= 'see datasheet').
It might be possible to parse the datasheets for such a single information. I'm out of office for a week now, but after that I could try to figure out a way.
That would be great! I've thought of that several times in the past, but I didn't find a good solution. A conversion utility PDF to TXT didn't provide a reasonably parsable text file. Hopefully you have something better for that!
